Canon Class Action Lawsuit Looming

Canon Class Action Lawsuit Looming

Maybe you’re like this guy, after watching Vincent Laforet’s Reverie you were wowed and amazed. Then you saw the final episode of season six on House and found out the the DP, Gene Tattersall insisted that it was all be shot on the Canon 5D Mark II. So that put you over the edge. You hustled out to the camera store and bought all the new Canon gear. After seeing how the the 5D made such great imagery for Vincent Laforet, Philip Bloom, and Gene Tattersall, you just knew you were on to something big and there soon would be a 4th big name being recognized for innovation and imagery: YOURS!

Then for some reason it hasn’t worked out for you. Yes, sure you bought the 5D 24-105 kit. You bought the 70-200, the 18-35, the F/1.2 lenses, the slider, the Glidecam, the Zoom audio, and all the rest, but somehow your results were not the same as the other 3 big names. Good news: it is not your fault, it is Canon’s. Finally there is a class action suit looming against Canon that you can be a part of. Details are found in this video.

I have a Canon SX40HS that is a lemon. It is in for the second repair of dust inside the lens. They want $159 for the repair of something that is a recurring problem. The model after this camera has corrections to the lens, thumb grip and placement of buttons. The record button on my camera is in a very difficult space and almost impossible to hold the camera while switching record off and on.
Canon is mailing my camera back, I am out approximately $500.
    Who do I sue?
